Verdict

Perfect Shot missed most most of last year and hasn't looked the same horse since his return. He's well treated if rediscovering his best but it's difficult to say the same for Leyte Gulf, who looks in the handicapper's grip judged on his recent placed efforts over C&D. Waldsee disappointed off today's mark having scored over 2m before that so a tentative nod goes in the direction of CORVETTE. She's gone close to scoring on her last two starts at this track and gets another chance to finally open her account today.
