Verdict

Martin Lane probably had the pick of David Simcock's two runners so it's interesting he's teaming up with Invincible Spirit newcomer Star Bonita rather than last month's Lingfield third Cape Savannah. Michael Bell's Ruacana, a half-brother to four winners, is another interesting debutant but it will probably take a decent performance to prevent CROFTAMIE from opening her account. Despite missing the break, she was an excellent third in what looked a competitive maiden at Nottingham in November and should make up into a decent three-year-old.
