      Verdict

An interesting opener where DIMAIRE is taken to be too good for Jigagjig and Cheshire Lady. The last-named is 2lbs higher than when putting up her best effort so far over course and distance last week. She is drawn right against the inside rail, which can prove to be as much of a hinderance as a help, but a good break would give her every chance if she can reproduce or improve on that effort. Jigajig struggled to show enough pace over the minimum trip and did better when tried over 7f last time out, under today's pilot Paul Hanagan. He is now tried again over 6f and he is another with claims if he is able to run two races the same. Sharp Shoes is not badly treated at the weights for his first try on an artificial surface and if handling conditions he would have claims, but preference is for Dimaire. Jamie Spencer's mount acts well at the track, and ran with promise over course and distance last time. Supporters will have to hope that the partnership get the breaks from a wide draw and if they do so they should have the firepower to score.
