Verdict

Another wide open contest here but the principals look to be Aleron, Nightwatchman and Smoothie and the confident vote goes to Aleron. The five year old from the John Quinn yard was a good third behind Sudden Flight last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Nightwatchman rates the main danger he was a fair fourth behind Misternando last time out and that form has since been franked so he has definite place claims. Smoothie could also go well in won a seller in good style last time out but that was over a shorter trip and he may not be as effective over as trip this far. Of the remainder Ambersong is another in form but she to is not proven over the trip so the confident vote goes to Aleron.
