In depth

Verdict

A wide open handicap rounds off the card and there is very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be John Potts, Jemiliah, and Persistent and John Potts is given one last chance to get his head in front. The selection has been running well of late without winning but he was a fair second behind Mission Control last time out, hr remains on the same mark and if he reproduces that effort he will be hard to beat. Jemiliah rates the main danger on his latest third behind A Dream Come True, he looks sure to strip fitter here and with his yard liking a tilt at the ring he should be watched in the market. Persistent was behind the selection last time and off the same terms here there is no reason why he should reverse placing. Of the remainder Novestar is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but for the winner we return to John Potts.
