In depth

Verdict

This is a poor ending to the day's action at Wolverhampton and, in a moderate contest, what can only be a tentative vote goes to recent course and distance winner King of Legend, who is taken to defy the 3lb rise for that success and gets the vote ahead of Wisdom's Kiss and Empire Dancer. The last mentioned disappointed here last time but had run well on his two previous outings and has claims on the evidence of those outings. Convallaria is a rare runner at this time of year for Geoff Wragg and remains relatively unexposed so cannot be discounted. Robinzal showed some ability last time and has to be considered along with Wisdom's Kiss, who showed improved form at Kempton last time. This should not take much winning though and King of Legend is taken to win it.
