        Verdict

        Gerrard's Return was expected to do better at Chepstow but didn’t quite see out the 6f having placed over today’s trip at Haydock before that. Elegantly Bound also went backwards stepped up to 6f at Nottingham recently but Goodwood Crusader finished closer over the minimum trip at Lingfield last month. The others with experience have shown little so far and a speculative vote goes to the newcomer WADOOD. Robert Cowell’s colt is a brother to the useful Seanie, a winner at two-years-old, and he may prove good enough to make a winning start.
