TAEPING looks an improver now tackling a longer trip and he is fancied to see off Princess Mandy and Knightfire. Reg Hollinshead's son of Invincible Spirit comes here on the back of a solid third to Fair Bunny at Southwell, arguably the best run of his short career. He shaped there as if the step up to this trip won't be a problem and with his dam winning over a mile his pedigree would seem to back that up. Aegean Destiny has been running in sellers and claimers this year and this looks tougher, Princess Mandy has shown some promise and looks an improver off this mark of 55, whilst Dutiful has an interesting jockey booking and he is now 5lb lower than when he started life in handicap company. Goodison Goal was sixth in the race won by Fair Bunny at Southwell but she has a nice draw here and not too much ground to make up, whilst Knightfire has been well-held on three starts but has a lowly mark to work from here on his nursery bow. Not a race to dwell on but perhaps a good opportunity for Taeping to break his maiden tag.
