      Verdict

      A tough maiden despite lack of numbers and Molly Ann is marginally preferred to Glittering Prize and Hollow Point. The filly did not do a lot wrong at Southwell on her most recent start and having previously chased home a useful Paul Cole inmate over course-and-distance, compensation awaits. Glittering Prize has had her chances on the turf this summer and looks the pick of the Johnston entry on jockey bookings. She is simply much better than her last line of form suggests and should have had enough time to iron out any issues. Hollow Point has shown very little of late to recommend him. Gayanula was unfancied in the betting on debut whilst Validity should not be good enough. Molly Ann has shown enough to deserve victory and we select her accordingly.
