    In depth

    Verdict

Rabbit gets the nod over the equally in-form Allaboveboard, with Charmatic and Sonoma best of the rest. Rabbit has been in terrific form this summer, the five-year-old having won three of her last five starts for Matt Sheppard, including a defeat of the fancied Montevideo at Stratford. Successful over the course-and-distance just four days earlier, she obviously thrives on her racing, and is taken to stay one step ahead of the handicapper here. Allaboveboard has done nothing wrong either lately, rattling up a hat-trick, and will be a tough rival, but the selection's course form can prove decisive. Charmatic has to concede weight all round but appears progressive, while Sonoma is a tough sort but is another that may struggle as she goes up the weights. This should turn into a good contest between the first two mentioned, with Rabbit the selection.
