OUR KAEMPFER started favourite for a point-to-point at Tallow in February but couldn't quicken with the first two. That will have taught him plenty and Charlie Longsdon's four-year-old can make a winning start under Rules at the chief expense of J P McManus' newcomer El Macca, who is a half-brother to a winning stayer. Barrs Lane was second at Towcester in May and looks the best of those with previous bumper experience ahead of Barton Heather.
