In depth

Verdict

GUNNER ROSE has yet to win away from Southwell but can put that right today. He has placed form in better company and was third over C&D back in 2009 when racing off a higher mark. Kilvergan Boy weakened quickly over a longer trip at Cartmel last time but should be a force dropped in distance while Wait No More won at Ffos Las in June and was only beaten a length over this C&D subsequently. He's only a pound higher than that second run after disappointing in his last two starts. Cap Elorn could be interesting on his chasing bow but hunter chaser Doof has a bit to prove after a modest effort at Stratford.
