Verdict

An interesting finale with Sagredo bidding to follow up a maiden hurdles win at Newton Abbot under a penalty. The blinkers will have to work a second time if he's to get involved. Cardinal James is proving expensive to follow, as are American Art and Bon Spiel, but old-timer Border Tale seems in good heart and the returning Chapolimoss can't be ignored with Lawney Hill's string firing on all cylinders at present. Benmadigan has won two of his previous three starts over C&D and is back on a winning mark but has been well below his best lately so preference is for DIAMOND MM, who looked to be on the way back when third at Uttoxeter last week and should be approaching peak fitness now.
