Verdict

Both Definitly Grey and Thady Quil are more than capable in this grade when on song but few who saw ABBEYGREY destroy similar opposition at Newton Abbot last week will want to oppose Evan Williams’ charge here. That was a conditionals’ race so he escapes a penalty and Mitchell Bastyan is able to claim his full 7lb allowance today. Xenophon is on a lower mark than when last successful and was third at Market Rasen last month but he’s not exactly reliable while Royal Chief is 0-11 over fences.
