Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Keenes Day, a once-useful stayer on the Flat, beat FLORAL PATCHES by a short-head over C&D three weeks ago but will surely struggle to confirm the form under a penalty this evening with the runner-up boosted by the 7lb claim of Harriet Bethell. Victor Hewgo won by 15 lengths at Uttoxeter last month but whether he'll be able to repeat that performance under a penalty on this quicker ground is open to debate. Keltic Crisis won a conditionals' race at Bangor last time and the third franked the form at Southwell on Sunday so he rates the danger to the selection as the others have little to recommend them.
