Verdict

Tot Of The Knar can land this opener at the expense of Silly Wupple and Scrape The Paint. The selection has won three times between the flags this winter and that form may well be good enough to land a race of this nature. His trainer is in form and with a top jockey booked he ought to take some beating. Silly Wupple is the likely danger having shown himself good enough to win a bumper at Aintree on his first outing back in October. Since then he has disappointed on very heavy ground but showed signs of ability when third of twelve at Stratford last month. He has to be feared on good to firm ground so any market moves should be noted. Scrape The Paint has his first outing and does come from a yard that do well at this time of the year so is respected on his debut. But for the winner we return to Tot Of The Knar.
