Verdict

A cracking heat with a host of in-form types including two course and distance winners at the head of the weights. DEFINITE FUTURE impressed with the way he went about his work at Aintree the last day and he gets the vote as the promising Richard Patrick claims a valuable 7lb off his back. He's solid and consistent too and should give us a good run. Forever My Friend and Deauville Dancer also arrive in good heart and will not make life easy for the selection and certainly merit shortlist inclusion whilst Such A Legend can be relied upon to run his race more times than not and is on a fair mark. Foundation Man gets on well with regular partner Jack Savage but maybe a little too high in the weights but Marquis Of Carabas looked an improved player last time and is going the right way over fences.
