Verdict

Hasopop was still a little green when beaten by the odds-on The Taj at Doncaster. He's learning with experience, however, and should be in the firing-line again here though an extra furlong probably wouldn't come amiss. Luca Cumani's two-year-olds usually benefit greatly from a run so it was a surprise to see AJMANY thrown in at the deep end in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. A good-looking colt, he wasn't disgraced and is obviously held in some regard so can get off the mark here. Meet Me Halfway can improve on her Windsor debut and newcomer Hasbah could be interesting while this is a big drop in class for Ocean Applause after runs in the National Stakes and the Norfolk Stakes, though it's not certain 6f will suit.
