Verdict

There are question marks against the older horses whilst accepting all could play a part at their best. It's no surprise to see first-time set blinkers applied to Valcartier and Noble Peace has yet to fire this term. Nonios has delivered his best efforts on the all-weather and Bint Dandy still appears on a high enough handicap mark. The three-year-old, The Emperor Within, has yet to tackle this trip which is a concern so the vote is awarded to the progressive KAANOON. Roger Varian's charge has only landed a couple of Class 5 contests and this represents a notable step-up in class but he's going the right way, should have more to offer after a mere three starts and looks reasonably well weighted on this handicap bow.
