        Verdict

        Jonnie Skull hardly wins anywhere else these days and made all for a comfortable victory over a mile last week. A 6lb penalty shouldn't deter him from another big effort though this looks a bit better race. ROUGH ROCK is another who loves it around here and last week's second over 6f was over a trip short of his best. With Robert Tart's claim a bonus he looks back on a winnable mark and is handed the vote. Cape Of Hope has been doing all of his running over 6f and was surprisingly beaten when long odds-on at Brighton last month so the handicapper may have a grip on him. Lovesome, beaten a short-head by Trucanini here a week ago, is on the same mark and must be a threat along with the consistent Muftarres.
