Verdict

A wide open contest gets proceedings underway and the betting will prove all important but the principals look to be Red Admiral, Force Nine King Zafeen and the vote goes to the last named. The selection showed he had improved for hiss debut run when fourth behind Sunday Symphony doing all his best work at the finish and if he improves again he will be hard to beat. Red Admiral was sent off a well backed favourite for his debut but was very disappointing, however he is obviously thought capable of better so he is worth noting in the market. Force Nine is a well bred sort from a stable that can ready a newcomer so he to is worth a cautionary look in the market. Clueless is a colt by Royal Applause but is bred to do better over a longer trip. Of the remainder Gidam Gidam showed a modicum of ability on his debut and is sure to have learnt from the experience but for the winner we return to King Zafeen.
