      Verdict

Hands Up was a 100/1 chance on his debut at Newmarket but kept on well in the closing stages having missed the break and Dettori takes over the reins. But he is up against some well-bred newcomers from powerful Newmarket yards here and nothing catches the eye as much as John Gosden's THRONE ROOM. He's a half-brother to Irish Oaks heroine Great Heavens and Coral-Eclipse winner Nathaniel among others and, though he'll undoubtedly excel over middle-distance next year, will know his job and may have the pace for this on soft ground. Go Sakhee, Like A Prayer and Munaaser are others to note but Torchlighter and Oxsana may need more time.
