Green Diamond gets the vote over Tasdeer and debutantes City Stable and Skycruiser. Mark Johnston's two-year-olds are in good form this season, and Green Diamond nearly got on the scoresheet at Thirsk last month when just edged out by Rosa Grace. On that evidence he should have no difficulty opening his account soon, although on breeding he will be seen to better effect over a mile at least, being related to the likes of Inchmurrin and Inchinor on the dam's side. Tasdeer lost nothing in defeat when fourth to the very highly thought of Hustle at Lingfield, and he is entitled to come on for the run as well. City Stable screams middle-distance on pedigree, and indeed holds an entry in next year's Vodafone Derby, while Skycruiser's dam hails from the family of Warrsan and Blue Monday to name but two. All those mentioned should pay to follow in time, and today we shall rely on Green Diamond.
