Another wide-open affair with not too much decent recent form in the field, but we'll side with ART VALUE, adding Casablanca Minx and Chic Shanique to the shortlist. Michael Wigham's Art Value showed his best form for a while last time out when runner up over a mile and a quarter at Beverley. He came from off the pace there, steadily making progress, with cheek pieces fitted and they stay on today. The slight step up in trip looks a positive. Casablance Minx is Gaye Kellaway's only runner of the afternoon; she steps up in trip slightly, but has had more success on the all-weather, having not won on turf for four years. Her best days are probably behind her, but this is a very moderate field. Chic Shanique is as inconsistent as they can be, but lightly raced and open to further improvement. Tom Dascombe doesn't have many runners here, and she'd need everything to fall right to land it. It's a tricky, trappy contest; something has to win it, and we think it could be Art Value.
