Verdict

A very modest affair and MEDDLING will probably never get a better chance to get off the mark. She disappointed when a hot favourite at Salisbury in June but has been given plenty of time to recover and the Halling filly is Sir Michael Stoute's only runner here today. Both Gift Of Silence and Emerald Sea finished last in their latest respective races at Carlisle and Salisbury on the same day in June while Dumbarton Rock was beaten 16 lengths at Musselburgh at the start of the month, though had gone close at Leicester over this trip earlier. Greek Spirit may have some scope for improvement and could run into a place.
