Sir Michael Stoute is striking while the iron is hot with STOMACHION, who looked as though he may have been a blot on the handicap at Salisbury last week and so it proved. Having his first start in a handicap and on testing ground, he saw off a persistent challenge from Kastini with the remainder in another parish. A 6lb penalty shouldn't stop him despite taking on some in-form rivals. The Ducking Stool has won five times in her career, all on this track, though her best form has been on quicker ground than she'll face this time. Layline won this last year and is just 2lb higher despite a recent success on very testing ground at Ffos Las. Size has some decent form and isn't badly treated, though his three victories have all come on fast going, while Mistral Wind showed that her turn wasn't far off with a very good run at Windsor last week.
