Verdict

NICKELS AND DIMES started favourite on her Leicester debut but missed the break and looked in need of experience. She stayed on nicely over that 7f trip and should know much more here. She is handed the vote though the superbly bred Elik caught the eye on her debut at Nottingham and looks certain to provide a threat. Of Course Darling made a very promising start at Newmarket but was never really in contention when tackling the Tattersalls Millions next time and, though Michael Bell's newcomers Madame Defarge and Kensington Gardens are related to plenty of winners, the lack of experience in these conditions is a cause for concern.
