In depth

Verdict

Dalla Finestra is the suggestion in a tricky opener; the market should prove informative, particularly in regard to Buddhist Monk and Thumbs Up. The selection should be all the better for her encouraging debut at Doncaster where she made up good ground in the final quarter of a mile having been behind in the early stages. She was a length in front of the more experienced Isabella's Fancy and should be able to confirm that form but Sunny Sprite and Sister Moonshine - from the in-form Willie Muir yard - should be competitive in this company. Buddhist Monk is one to watch closely in the market as is the Luca Cumani trained Thumbs Up. The latter has already got a run under his belt and he showed definite signs of ability despite racing very green. He can be expected to leave that form behind and must be feared if the market gives out the right vibes but we'll take a chance with Dalla Finestra.
