Verdict

INSURGENCE has proved most progressive on the artificial surfaces of Lingfield and Kempton, scoring with something in hand when a rather cheeky winner at the latter venue earlier this month. He is taken can transfer his impressive all-weather form to Turf as the additional furlong should not prove an inconvenience. Kassar's last three runs suggest a win is nigh and he looks the prime threat in receipt of 6lb from the top weight as trip and ground will suit. Ode To Autumn and Barton Mills probably have a little to prove at present whilst course and distance winner Protected Guest is asked to step up two grades in class.
