Purple Rock picked up his first handicap win in an apprentice event at Doncaster last time, but is far from certain to follow up. Al Destoor shaped well on his first run for his new stable without suggesting he was about to break his duck, and although Framley Garth has been eased in the handicap, he has previously struggled at this level. In a wide-open event, FREEWHEEL could be the answer. Having picked up his first win for Garry Moss in April, he went close at Nottingham in July, going down by a short-head in a similar contest, and a repeat of that effort should be enough to win this. El Beau won a modest event last time but does have form over course and distance and could be an each way prospect.
