      Verdict

Awsaal is lightly-raced and was a decent three-year-old. He could easily play a part if allowed to take his chance. Trip The Light won a claimer over C&D last year and wasn't disgraced on his reappearance in a ladies' race at the track last month. Right Step, Staff Sergeant and San Cassiano may all have stamina limitations, but Greyfriars Drummer was only just beaten over 1m3f at Kempton in April and is dropped in grade here. Mark Johnston also runs NAVE, however, and it's the four-year-old that gets the nod. Second to Harlestone Times over this trip at Goodwood on his penultimate start, he was always struggling when trapped out wide in the Northumberland Plate last time but this is far less competitive.
