Verdict

This looks like a wide open renewal. A number of these ran well at Royal Ascot, including Carry On Deryck who won a valuable handicap in Dubai and has to be respected after his solid run in the Royal Hunt Cup. Tawdeea’s win in the Old Newton Cup is solid form, but he isn’t certain to act on the faster going here even if he’s recovered from his Haydock exertions. Oasis Fantasy looks high in the handicap and may not appreciate the drop back in trip while Spanish Squeeze has plenty of potential but lacks experience in the rough and tumble of a big field handicap. ARTHENUS (NAP) caught the eye on his seasonal debut at Newmarket and was staying on stoutly when stepped up to 1m2f in the Wolferton. He looks like a horse with more improvement to come and has the class to take this. Progressive handicapper Revolutionist and Royal Hunt Cup fourth Azraff can fill the places.
