Verdict

Richard Fahey is fortunate to have George Challoner on board OUR BOY JACK as he rode the four-year-old to victory at Thirsk last time. He gets the vote in a tricky race in which Evanescent will make a bold bid after an impressive all-the-way victory at Pontefract. Monakova couldn't handle a 7lb rise on her four-timer attempt at Hamilton and this is no easier but Green Howard ran so well in the Ayr Bronze Cup that he has to be a threat, especially with Kevin Stott's claim to help. Shesastar is running well and looks another with chances in a wide-open finale.
