Beaten only a head by Mickdaam in the Chester Vase back in May, Model Pupil would have leading claims if he's improved during the interim. Prince Seigfried had been well beaten on the same day at Chester in May but ran well on his return when third at Newbury three weeks ago. Jockey bookings suggest he's preferred to stablemate Modun, though the latter had Mijhaar behind when third in a Group 3 race at Kempton last time with Circumvent back in sixth. After failing to get involved in a couple of Group 1 events, BEATEN UP looked a bit more like his old self at Doncaster last month. A chance is taken he'll act in today's ground and start to fulfil some of the potential he showed as an unbeaten three-year-old.
