Verdict

First Battalion stayed on well in a first-time visor to get the better of Dressing Room over this trip at Windsor and is one of the more likely winners of this finale. But Aldedash is also on the upgrade, though there is a doubt over whether he'll appreciate this longer trip on breeding. Sandusky has more to do than when landing a Kempton maiden but there are possibilities about COMMUNICATOR. By Derby winner Motivator and from the same family as useful stayer Distant Prospect Michael Bell's colt, who still holds a Derby entry, seems sure to thrive on his first try at 1m4f. Last month's Newcastle winner Ittirad has scope for further improvement but Pandoro De Lago may struggle under a penalty.
