In depth

Verdict

Captain Dunne disappointed on this ground last time out so is passed over in favour of Lady Rangali with Bosun Breeze rated the main danger. The selection has already shown an ability to handle soft ground when finishing a close-up second on heavy ground at Beverley. Anne Duffield's runner gets into this nursery off a mark of 70 and she can get her head back in front. Jamie Osbourne's Daidemas could be a danger as he ran well on good to soft on debut and then dotted up at Southwell. His latest run was disappointing but the ground may have been too quick that day and on this softer surface he should bounce back. Rose Siog represents a good northern trainer and should be monitored for market support, whilst Bosun Breese scored well last time out and with that confidence boost he looks sure to run well. A toughie to finish with, however Lady Rangali gets the nomination to return to the winner's enclosure.
