In depth

Verdict

Most of these arrive in poor form having raced over a variety of distances in much better company. They include Blizzard Blues, who hasn't fulfilled the promise shown on his debut success at Newmarket in 2009 though he's produced the odd fair effort, and APPRIMUS, a Listed winner in Italy. The latter was well beaten at Windsor last time but a close fourth in a Listed contest earlier in the season suggests he can land this. Comedy Act doesn't have much to find to get competitive and at least is in decent form having finished a close second over 1m5f at Hamiliton where he was caught close home. Overrule has won over hurdles but has run moderately on the Flat this season.
