Plenty of solid form on offer from horses such as Muzdahi, Diamond Penny and Cotton Spirit, however Godolphin send some of their better juveniles to the track and so a chance is taken on SAMURAI SWORD. Connections won this race twelve months ago and this son of Motivator (a York winner himself) is bred to be smart. His dam was a winner over a mile so this seven furlong trip should test his stamina enough to see him run well. Ice Magic shaped with promise at Leicester and he has Ryan Moore on top as he moves up in trip, King Of The Celts ran a fine race to fill second to Polar Kite here last time, whilst Cotton Spirit is a stablemate of the winner that day and in the same ownership he needs watching for market support. Diamond Penny's debut form at Kempton is working out well and he shaped on his next start at Warwick as if he would improve over a longer straight whilst Early Applause needs to improve plenty for the longer trip after his mini-break. Rain would suit My Mate Jake, whilst Swift Alhaarth shaped on debut at Musselburgh as if he needs a mile already. Interesting fare then, with preference for the newcomer Samurai Sword.
