Verdict

TIME TEST(NAP) probably produced his best-ever performance over this trip and ground when cruising away with the Tercentenary Stakes at the Royal meeting last year. Forecast conditions are ideal for the Dubawi colt and he has already proved his wellbeing this term with a brave reappearance victory in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes and a gallant third in Sandown's Group 1 Coral- Eclipse Stakes on unsuitable ground. Pat Smullen keeps the ride and he will be very tough to beat. Countermeasure, seemingly employed for pacemaking duties at Sandown, ran a fine race to finish one spot behind the selection and looks improved on that evidence but his stable companion should have his measure with comfort. There's little between the other three on official ratings but Mahsoob probably has more scope for improvement.
