Hamish McGonagall and Cheveton should be to the fore of any short-list but we'll opt for KALDOUN KINGDOM. Hamish McGonagall and Cheveton continue to perform with great credit and are unlikely to be far away but the handicapper appears to have their measure and they'll need everything to drop right in order to score. Good Gorsoon is better than his strike rate indicates but he needs the cards to fall just right for his come-from-behind tactics to work and the percentage call is to oppose him and the talented Hitchens who failed to warrant the decision to supplement him for the Duke Of York. Cases can be made for infrequent winner Siren's Gift and newly discovered sprinter Internationaldebut and Ishetoo who could be suited by the return to five and will benefit from a useful apprentice's claim but we'll go with the Fahey runner. The trainer is in the middle of a purple patch and the selection would have finished closer to Internationaldebut at the Dante meeting but for meeting trouble in running. The trip is an issue but he didn't look short of pace that day and should cope as long as the ground doesn't ride too fast; so, with that proviso, we'll take Kaldoun Kingdom to land the feature.
