Plenty of in form handicappers here and we will take a chance with Basserah, Whitethorne and Nan Jan are two others to keep on the right side. The Barry Hills trained filly is relatively lightly raced and just did enough last time to beat Maria Vetsara in a Thirsk maiden. She gets in here on a very fair mark and with improvement still to come she looks the best option. Whitethorne has done very little wrong this season and ran another terrific race last time when chasing home Ballycroy Girl at Ayr. This consistent performer will be difficult to keep out of the the first four. The outsider we like the look of is Nan Jan, a winner at Wolverhampton back in February, who looked on the way back last time when finishing five lengths behind today's rival Bold Diktator. The latter is in good heart chasing a hat-trick so has to be another to consider for each-way purposes, but Basserah has more scope for improvement than most and gets our vote.
