Phillip Hobbs launched another successful raid on Flat race prize-money as BUREAUCRAT burst through to steal this on the line. The six-year-old, like the first three horses that followed him home, was switching codes but obviously retains enthusiasm for the summer game. Bandama, whose trainer has a great record in this particular race, just failed in his effort but is one to keep on the right side for something like the Northumberland Plate while Aurate would also have to be a live contender if he were to go to Newcastle. King's Head and his stablemate Wingman went down fighting and are others who will be suited by a greater test of stamina.
