INDIAN DAYS has been in consistent form all season and won a deserved big pot having been well backed prior to the off. He came with a sustained run down the centre of the track under Alan Munro to just touch off Military Power in a driving finish. The Mark Johnston trio of Age Of Reason, Hunting Country and Drill Sergeant all raced prominently from the off and it was the latter who fared best and was not beaten far at all back in third place. Upton Grey was also up with the leaders throughout but could not find a finishing kick, though he remains in good heart. That statement applies to Steele Tango also, who stayed on well from out of the pack, but could not get to grips with the front rank.
