A high-class renewal of the Coronation and a high-class winner in GHANAATI who powered to a new course record under Richard Hills. This was billed as a battle between the English, French and Irish 1000 Guineas winners but the Giant's Causeway filly blew them away with a top-notch performance. David Wachman's Chintz set a serious gallop and while most of the field struggled Ghanaati revelled in it and you could call her the winner at the top of the straight. Slight interference around the bend didn't trouble the winner and she soon put the race to bed when lengthening clear of her rivals. She'll get 10 furlongs standing on her head and could even trouble the colts in the Champion Stakes. Reggane plugged on for second while Rainbow View stayed on well for third after suffering most in the scrimmaging around the turn. Excuses are running out for her and she will struggle to win a race at this level, but this was a decent effort considering the interference and John Gosden's recent poor form.
