The European woe continued in a rough race that went the way of outsider SHARED ACCOUNT, who was winning her first Grade 1on her fifth attempt proving her stamina in the process. Shared Account had refused to go out on to the turf course and dumped her work rider yesterday but made amends for that with a game victory. Plumania took the field along at a steady pace from Éclair De Lune, Harmonious and Shared Account with Midday settled on the rail on the inside of market rival Red Desire. The pace quickened along the back stretch with Plumania kicking clear at the four pole but the field bunched up approaching the two turns back into the lane and Plumania was quickly swallowed up in the straight as Éclair De Lune and Harmonious launched their challenges on the outside of Red Desire who kept Midday in; Kent Desormeaux had covered Tom Queally's every move throughout the race. Edgar Prado managed to force Shared Account through a gap that Midday had also gone for whilst Miss Keller squeezed between the rail and Plumania and there was plenty of bumping and barging with Midday enduring a torrid passage. Once out in the open, Midday battled hard to close the gap on Shared Account as they drew gradually clear from a bunched field but she never looked like getting past whilst another outsider, Keertana, came home well on the outside to finish a close third.
