Saeed bin Suroor: "Right from the start he was one of my favourites and I wanted him to have a good name. I called him Be Ready because I knew he would be facing some big tasks. He needed to learn in the first race and I had this one picked as his next. He looked one of the best of our yearlings and has always showed class in the morning. He is also always very relaxed and professional. He is my favourite colt for the future and I hope he is now ready."

Simon Crisford: "He has always looked the part and that is why he ran in that Listed race first time out at Newbury. He has improved today and I think that he has won well. The reason why we ran him in the Washington Singer Stakes first time out was because we had great faith in him. He will stay a mile and a quarter but he has got a good turn of foot, so he will start off over a mile next year and we will take it from there. We haven't discussed which horses will go out to Dubai yet but, unless we were going to race him out there - which I think would be highly unlikely - there wouldn't be much of a requirement for him to go there."

Richard Hannon jr: "He's run a really nice race. That's it for him now for the season but we fully expect him to make up into a serious animal next year - he's a Guineas horse."

Peter Chapple-Hyam: "It wasn't really the plan to try and make all but I'm happy enough with that run. He's still a big baby and there's a lot more to come from him. I think there's a nice race in him at some point though I doubt it'll come at the very top level."
