The Rhinos travel to the John Smith's Stadium lying in fourth, just three points behind Sunday's hosts with a game in hand.
The Giants have won the last three meetings between the sides but lost on their last outing at Hull KR and could face a few unfamiliar faces this weekend as the Rhinos name five teenagers in their 19-man squad for the match.
Alex Foster, 19, and 17-year-old Elliot Minchella could be in line for their senior debuts as the Rhinos are without the suspended Joel Moon and are missing a total of nine further players through injury.
If he plays, Minchella would become the first Leeds player to appear for the Rhinos who was born since Super League's inception.
The Rhinos boast 15 home-grown players in their squad and will be aiming to pick up where they left off having won their last two with a 42-24 win over Castleford followed by Monday's victory against Widnes.
Huddersfield's Shaun Lunt knows that his side cannot afford to take victory for granted over injury-hit Leeds and believes those coming in for the Rhinos are more than capable of challenging the Giants.
"They've got really good replacements for those who are ruled out, and we can't afford to take them for granted," said Lunt.
"I worked with them during my time at Leeds last season, so I know how talented they are."
The Giants make just one change to their squad with loanee hooker Brad Dwyer replaced by winger Matt Dawson in the 19.
Huddersfield squad: Grix, Cudjoe, Wardle, McGillvary, Brough, Robinson, Crabtree, Lunt, Kopczak, Ferres, Faiumu, Lawrence, Patrick, Ta'ai, Murphy, Cording, Ferguson, Mullally, Dawson.
Leeds squad: Hardaker, Jones-Bishop, Hall, Burrow, McShane, Peacock, Jones-Buchanan, Ablett, Kirke, Clarkson, Achurch, Moore, Keinhorst, Singleton, Sutcliffe, Minns, Baldwinson, Foster, Minchella.
