Super League preview: London Broncos v St Helens
Last Updated: 27/04/13 12:52pm
James Mendeika could make his debut for London Broncos after being named in their 19-man squad for the visit of St Helens to the Twickenham Stoop.
The 21-year-old centre is on loan for five weeks from Warrington Wolves and has fitted in well with his new team.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's game, Broncos head coach Tony Rea told the club's official website: "He's been down two weeks now, we brought him down to train in the week leading up to the Challenge Cup game for him to get used to things.
"Probably the biggest compliment is that he hasn't been noted inside the environment, in other words he has just blended in very well and done a good job so we look forward to his debut."
Olsi Krasniqi and Mike McMeeken also come into the squad, with Shane Grady, Chris Melling and Scott Wheeldon the absentees from last week's 24-12 Tetley's Challenge Cup fourth round victory over Featherstone.
But it will be tough for the hosts, who are seeking their first home win against Saints in over 11 years, with the club's last home success over their next opponents - a 40-6 victory - coming back in March 2002.
As for Saints, Luke Thompson is set to make his debut while Nathan Ashe is also recalled to the squad by head coach Nathan Brown.
Adam Swift is also likely to occupy the wing spot vacated by the suspended Francis Meli.
London Broncos squad: Bailey, Bryant, Cook, Dixon, Dollapi, Dorn, Fisher, Gower, Hurst, Kaufusi, Krasniqi, Lee, Lovell, McMeeken, Mendeika, O'Callaghan, Robertson, Sarginson, Witt.
St Helens squad: Ashe, Charnock, Clough, Forster, Greenwood, Hohaia, Howarth, Jones, Laffranchi, Makinson, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Percival, Puletua, Soliola, Swift, Thompson, Turner, Walmsley, Wellens.
