The Giants opened the 2014 Super League campaign in style with a 24-8 success over Shaun Wane's men at the DW Stadium in February.
Wigan come into the contest three points behind leaders Leeds with a game in hand while Huddersfield will still be smarting following their heavy defeat to St Helens last Friday.
The Giants, who beat Wigan home and away last season, were toppled by Wigan 22-8 on home soil in the first round of last year's Super League play-offs.
Giants head coach Paul Anderson makes just the one change to his 19-man squad. Ben Blackmore, who scored two tries in last Friday's defeat at Langtree Park, takes Craig Kopczak's place in the squad.
"Good teams bounce back and we have a chance to do that on Thursday against another class side in Wigan," Giants centre Leroy Cudjoe told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
Hard work
"We know it isn't going to happen just like that, we need to work hard for it. But we know we can do it."
Wane has made two changes to his Wigan squad with captain Sean O'Loughlin and Matty Bowen returning in place of Dan Sarginson and Michael McIlorum.
O'Loughlin is a talisman for the Warriors and his return provides a massive boost ahead of their tricky-looking tie. McIlorum misses out after picking up a knee injury in their win over Salford Red Devils.
"It looks like Lockers will be the only one returning from (long term) injury but he's a major one for me so I'm happy with that," Wane told the club's official website.
"Sean and some of the other experienced players have played well for me for years and I'm looking forward to getting them back so I can give some of the young kids a rest soon."
Huddersfield Giants: Grix, McGillvary, Cudjoe, Wardle, Murphy, Brough, Robinson, Crabtree, Lunt, Ferres, Chan, Bailey, Lawrence, Patrick, Faiumu, Ta'ai, Wood, Mullally, Blackmore.
Wigan Warriors: Bateman, Bowen, Burgess, Burke, Crosby, Dudson, C. Farrell, Gelling, Goulding, Hampshire, Hughes, James, Manfredi, O'Loughlin, S. Powell, Smith, Sutton, Taylor, Williams.
