Dane Chisholm has confirmed he not will be part of the new Bradford club and described the way the players have been treated as "absolutely appalling".

The 26-year-old playmaker, who joined the Bulls last year and scored nine tries in 11 appearances, claims he had to call the club for an update on his future, only to be told he would not be offered a new deal.

Chisholm said on social media: "Sorry to all the Bradford boys and supporters, but the new owners have made the decision not to keep me on board for 2017. I had to call the club myself to find out the news.

"The way all the players, staff and fans have been treated throughout this whole situation is absolutely appalling and I'm so proud of how you all have conducted yourselves.

"A big thank you to Rohan [Smith] for the opportunity to be a part of this great club, I had an awesome six months here.

"Good luck to all the boys for the season and with your futures."

Former head coach Smith has left his position following a meeting with the reformed club's new owners Andrew Chalmers and Graham Lowe while a host of players including Adam O'Brien, James Clare, Kris Welham have joined Super League sides.
